We have both casual and formal jobs / careers, which means that what to wear on an interview will basically be determined by the nature of your career.
For example, if you apply for a magazine editing career, you will dress in a fashionable casual way, yet if you apply for an office job, you’re expected to dress in a formal manner. Women trousers differ in style, some are wide leg trousers while others are straight leg trousers, but you have a choice on which of these two types of trousers you should wear to a job interview. However, you have to dress in a presentable manner so that the human resource manager gets a positive picture about you. Many times, people will judge you based on what you wear, I know this is a wrong concept, but that is how humans behave. I would personally judge a person based on what they say the first time I meet them, sometimes clothes hide the true colors of a person.
In this set, I have featured a black pleat front straight leg pant matched with a cream / black polka dot sheel top, however, to spice up the trend, I decided to complement the polka top with a cream blazer and teamed the all outfit with black pointed slip-on pumps. Since we have a cream blazer and top, the suede cream shoulder bag will be the best choice for this outfit.

Option 2: If you’re going for a formal job interview, you can wear a grey twist trouser; this type of trouser has tooth-pick legs, so it looks more like a skinny pant. Wear this grey twist trouser with a white long sleeved button down chiffon shirt and then complement the outfit with a black jersey jacket / blazer. Team the all trend with black pumps and a black tote bag. I strongly recommend wearing black blazer with grey pants, these two colors complement each other very well, avoid wearing red blazers to a job interview, it can be a good color if you get the job, but, don’t risk on a formal job interview.
Option 3: If you’re applying for a style and design career, you probably need to opt for a trendy design. In this case, I suggest you wear a purple cropped crepe trouser. Team this trouser with a white tank top, but make sure that you tuck in the top with the pants. White is a neutral color, so it will match with the purple trouser. Complement this outfit with neon yellow heeled sandals and a cream envelop clutch. Please note, this outfit is for women who apply for casual jobs, if you’re job description is formal, please opt for black / grey / brown pants.
Option 4: Formal ladies like lawyers, accountants, marketing executives and so much more, you need to wear a formal versatile outfit on a job interview. FASHION BASICS:
Skirts differ in style, but it is normal to wear a skirt on a job interview. The best skirts you should opt for are pencil skirts or professional skirts. When it comes to colors, you should opt for a color which looks good on you, avoid color clashing, so, if you have less experience in color mixing, you should opt the normal simple colors like black and grey.
In this fashion set, I have featured a purplish-red twisted professional skirt with black & white hound’s-tooth sleeveless bow shirt, since black & white are neutral colors, the purplish-red skirt matches very well with the hound’s-tooth top. To add value to this outfit, I decided to complement it with a black tuxedo blazer which features a white lining on the edges of the pockets and the sleeve. To conclude the outfit, I opted for black pointed pumps and a purplish-red / black tote bag.

However, not every dress can be worn on an interview, simply because every dress has it’s own trend and style, for example, you can’t wear a body-con dress to an interview, because this type of dress is too tight, so it will show all your body shape which I doubt if your human resource manager will be interested in, it’s not that a body-con dress can’t be worn to work, it is a cool dress, but not suitable for job interviews.

I know I have recommended wearing pants to a job interview 3 times on this list, however, these pants differ in style, so each of us has a choice of their own, in this set, I have featured boot cut pants, they look more like wide leg pants, but boot cut pants have a narrow fitting around the knees.
This time, I have matched grey boot cut pants with a pastel pink long sleeved shirt, both grey and pink complement each other very well, so you will look fashionable in this trend. To spice up the trend, I teamed it with pink leather pumps, since I featured pink pumps and a pink shirt in this set; I decided to complement them with a color block tote bag which features teal & pink.
So, who should wear this outfit on an interview? Women applying for semi-formal jobs / careers should wear this kind of outfit on the interview, because it is not too formal or too casual.

This option of wearing linen peg leg trousers is suitable for women who have casual careers.
In this set, I have matched brown linen peg leg trousers with a navy blue long sleeved chiffon blouse. To spice up this trend, I have complemented it with a rainbow stripped blazer, since I matched the pants with a blue blouse, the blue suede flats will be the best shoes to wear with this trend.
